The "Pie Best of Show" Contest
Formerly known as the "Pretty Pie" contest, this is without a doubt the most important culinary event of the year in Pelham. This year will be the 23rd Annual Pie Contest but the second year as the "Pie Best of Show" Contest. The best cooks and bakers in Pelham and surrounding cities and towns will square off for the honor and distinction of making the best pie in Pelham. You can smell those practice pies already all over Pelham. Keep those kitchens clean ladies and gentlemen and bring us your best work.
How to donate your pie for the contest . . . . .
If you want to enter a pie in the contest at Old Home Day please bring two homemade pies to the church parlor before noon and fill out an entry form. One pie will be for judging and the other pie to be shared during the Chicken Dinner in the afternoon. Click here for more information about entering the contest. The winner will be announced on the stage at about 4:00 PM.
